When I moved to the East Coast in August of 2001, I had already been training in other martial arts systems for about 16 years. As luck would have it, the first school I evaluated was Nackord Karate. I came to Nackord Karate from another studio which had closed down. The staff and students were very welcoming. It’s not unusual to have multiple black belts in the adult class, all of whom are more than willing to help the lower rank members improve on their skill set.
